In June 2016, the time came again to enter the National Fish and Chip Awards 2017,  and what a success we’ve had so far. With the summer upon us, the team at Hennighan’s worked hard to serve a record number of customers, with the new refit being a massive help for us this year. In August 2016, it was announced that we had been shortlisted to the Top 60 Fish and Chip shops in the UK and the Top 7 in Wales. On the 19th of September, the Fish and Chip Awards team at Seafish announced that we had made it to the Top 20 Fish and Chip Shops in the UK for the 4th year running.

In addition to the Fish and Chip Awards success, in August, we also regained our National Federation of Fish Friers Quality Award, after a 6-hour assessment. We scored very highly and are happy to be able to present our shop as a highly qualified place in many aspects. Lastly, Scores on the Door visited Hennighan’s for a reassessment, and we are very happy to say we gained 5*.
